The Karachi Traders Action Committee has announced that it will hold three-day protest high taxes imposed against the traders.The business community from across the country held a joint meeting, which decided to hold shutter-down strike on upcoming saturday, July 13.
Karachi Traders acation Committee leader Rizwan Irfan said that the government seems non-serious in resolving the issues of business community. Hence, we are forced to call out for strike. The traders community presented Eleven-points agenda to the government, which proposed that the minimum threshold for Income tax filing to be raised to Rs1.2 million. Further they proposed that taxes on import of cars should be reduced, uniformity in tax collection should be ensured, and there should be no audit of tax payers.
