First British Flight lands in Pakistan after 11 years

  • British Airways on Monday resumed operations to Pakistan after 11 years period as a flight lands in Islamabad

British Airways’ Boeing 787 Dreamliner took off from London Heathrow Airport (LHE) with 240 passengers and landed at Islamabad International Airport (IIA) at this morning.

The British Air will fly thrice in a week between London and Islamabad.

Adviser to Prime Minister on Commerce Abdul Razak Dawood, Minister for Aviation Ghulam Sarwar Khan, Special Assistant on Overseas Pakistanis Zulfi Bukhari and Other senior officials of the Aviation Division and British High Commission welcomed the passengers at the airport.

A special security arrangement was made around the Airport for the landing of the plane. Around 600 additional security personnel were debuted at the time of the flight’s arrival.

The same flight will depart for LHE today around 11 am.
