Faisalabad Traders observe strike against Budgetary Measures

Trader Community in Faisalabad is observing two-day Shutter-Down strike (8 & 9 July 2019) against the imposition of sales tax.

Clock Tower Markets, considered the business hub of Faisalabad, were shut down on call from supreme council of Anjuman-i-Tajran.

Local Police were on patrol to keep away any damage to the property from protestors. Police made efforts to disperse protestors from a camp set by agitating traders at the Kharkhana Bazaar.

The protestors were displaying banners having slogans against the Taxes imposed on the traders and their businesses in the new budget.

Similar protest calls were also made from trader community of Multan and Gujranwala. While All Pakistan Traders are expected to go on Shutter Down strike on 13th of July, 2019.
