$3.5 million worth of Pakistani Bank Cards data stolen

Leading Goblal Cyber Security Firm, Group IB has found new database with a total of 69,000 banks’ cards data of Pakistan consumers that have shown up for sale on the dark web.

As per Group-IB, most of the data belong to Meezan Bank Ltd. It is the second largest theft of any Pakistani bank in the preceding six months, which may indicate the focus of advanced cyber threat in the country.

The Pakistani Bank Cards data was available for sale at an underground Dark Web based site for $50/card.

Meezan Bank Officials assured the public that their data is safe and no financial pilferage has taken place.
